ACL today published its updated Misuse of Slots Enforcement Code, following assessment of responses received during the fifth consultation on the Code.
The deadline for responses to the fifth consultation was 18th September 2017. A total of thirteen responses were received. The airlines were generally opposed to many of the changes proposed, whereas the airport that responded was generally in favour of the changes proposed.
In assessing the responses, and finalising its revisions to the Code, ACL has tried, where appropriate, to reach a compromise between the divergent opinions whilst maintaining a strong but fair approach to the sanctioning of slots misuse.
ACL will not be providing individual feedback to respondents, however we greatly appreciate and value the feedback provided by all.
The updated code can be found at the following link [ https://www.acl-uk.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/Enforcement-Code-V7-Updated-November-2017.pdf ]
