Coordinator

Kirsty – Coordinator

Please describe your role in ACL.

“My role as a coordinator at ACL involves allocating airport slots in line with declared capacity across multiple airports within the UK, Canada, The Cayman Islands and Saudi Arabia under the Worldwide Airport Slot Guidelines, EU Regulation and Local Rules.”

What does a typical day look like to you?

“Every day at ACL can be different, as you never know what request you may walk in to. My core tasks each day involve handling requests from our airline and airport customers via our slot system or by email, monitoring the performance of slots through slot monitoring and reviewing capacity to offer any slot improvements.”

What’s your favourite part about working here?

“The role of coordinator involves communicating with people all over the world. The role enables me to meet and connect with a wide variety of people from various backgrounds and walks of life and understanding how all our small pieces play a part in the aviation puzzle.”

Describe a memorable time at ACL

“Coordinating the arrival of Boeing Globemaster and two fighter jets into London Gatwick for maintenance on a Friday afternoon!”
