ACL is delighted to have been appointed as the first independent slot coordinator of Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport (BBTCA). BBTCA is a city centre airport located on Toronto Island, close to the city's business district. It is the home of Porter Airlines, operating a fleet of modern Bombardier Q400 turboprop aircraft.
Currently Porter is the only airline operating commercial air services at BBTCA. From the opening of the new terminal, there will be an increase in capacity to 202 slots per day, 112 of which will be allocated to Porter based on historic utilisation.
ACL's role will be to administer the slot allocation process as the independent slot coordinator appointed by the Toronto Port Authority (TPA), the owner and operator of BBTCA.
Please see the TPA press release for further details.
